Physical Appearance
Boxers are known to be a medium sized dog, with a square, muscular build. They generally have an angular body (angling downward, starting at the head). They have a short back, with strong muscular legs.
They have short hair, shiny coats that normally look snug against the body. Boxers have different coloured coats, normally fawn or brindle ranging from a light tan to mahogany. They also normally have a black mask on their faces and white markings on their bodies. A more rare colouring of boxer is pure white. Their ears naturally lay flat, but they are sometimes cropped to be standing upright.
Male boxers are normally bigger boned than females, and both are very sturdy and muscular. Males normally range from 23-25 inches (53-61 cm) and females range from 21.5-23.5 inches (55-60 cm) from their withers (shoulder blades) to the floor. A boxers skull is usually balanced in a ratio of 1/3 muzzle and 2/3 skull and they have a distinct under bite.
